Nokia announced the new Nokia 701 yesterday, at their Symbian Belle launch event.
The Nokia 701 and very much inspired by the Nokia C7′s design, basically looking like an all-back version.
There’s a 3.5 Inch ClearBlack LED-backlit IPS TFT nHD resolution touchscreen display, the first time we’ve seen Clearblack on an LED-backlit screen.
There’s a 1Ghz processor, and Symbian belle, which means things are very impressive in overall operations and user experience compared to previous Symbian devices.
There’s an 8 Megapixel EDoF fixed-focus camera at the back, with a Dual LED Flash and 720p HD Video recording, and also a front facing camera for video calls. Again we’re not fans of the EDof Camera.
There’s also 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD card slot.
Little things like Active noise cancellation to improve call quality are also onboard on the Nokia 701, along with a host of connectivity options like Quadband GSM, pentaband 3g, HSPA, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC, Wifi, GPS, FM radio (not transmitter unfortunately) and a 3.5mm Audio Jack.
Coming to stores this Q3, in Steel Dark, Silver Light, Amethyst violet, and White colors. We’re still working on our preview of the Nokia 701, but check out our hands-on video below in the meanwhile:
