Facebook Messenger on Android loaded with free voice calls for Canadian users

Android’s flavor of Facebook Messenger has just been updated with VoIP functionality for the social network’s Canadian users. There’s no word when Android faithful in the US will snag the functionality, but Cancuks can at least ring their American counterparts who wield the iOS app. Version 2.3 of the mobile messenger also makes group conversations accessible in the sidebar, allows them to be named from the top of a talk and makes them searchable by name and friends. Hit the neighboring source link to grab the revamped software.

T-Mobile says its Nexus 4 won’t provide WiFi calling, makes a stronger case for going unlocked

TMobile says its Nexus 4 won't handle WiFi calling, makes stronger case for going unlocked

T-Mobile has already made an odd pair of decisions around its approach to the Nexus 4, namely its choices to ask $200 on contract and $500 up-front for a smartphone that costs $349 unlocked. It might be time to add a third quirk to the list, if a forgivable (and not entirely surprising) one. The carrier has confirmed to TmoNews that it won’t be offering WiFi calling through its edition of Google’s flagship; if cost or coverage makes cellular voice a scarce resource, VoIP might be the only viable backup. We weren’t assuming that T-Mobile would suddenly layer the Nexus 4 in custom features when the very point is to run an unspoiled Android 4.2, but the strategy leaves us even less of an incentive to submit to long-term commitments when a virtually identical, unfettered Google Play model beckons. November 13th is looking better every day.

Vonage mobile apps get international roaming, let users chat for free on both sides of the border

Vonage mobile apps get international roaming, let users chat for free on both sides of the border

For the past year or so, Vonage has been adding to its international VoIP game, and the latest new feature is roaming. That’s right, the company’s iOS and Android apps will soon have Vonage Mobile Roaming, meaning folks can take all their incoming calls over WiFi wherever they go without fear of ringing up a ridiculous cellphone bill. The catch? The service is in its trial phase and you’ve gotta reside in the UK, Netherlands, Spain or Italy to take advantage of this frugal feature. Those interested (and eligible) can sign up to get in on the action at the source below.

Vodafone 3G Free Trial Ends Today ?

Vodafone India launched it’s 3G services during the Cricket World Cup with a really funny advert and surely got a lot of attention. Vodafone pulled the tariffs details from it’s website after a really short period, guess why ? It decided to offer a free trial of 3G services to all it’s customers with 2G rates. If you are one of those users who are enjoying the free 3G on Vodafone, sad news is upon us folks !  The offer is supposed to end on April 10.
If you want to cancel your trial you can send an SMS to Vodafone or you would be charged according to rumoured Vodafone 3G Tariffs.
Send CAN 3G to 111 (Postpaid customers) and CAN 3G to 144 (Prepaid customers), to deactivate 3G services.

Remember when all the hot news was surrounding the white iPhone 4, well that news retired up until now because this white version of the Apple smartphone has been spotted.

If you visit Engadget you will see a few screenshots of the Vodafone de (Germany) inventory list showing weiß (white) iPhone 4s in both 16 and 32GB versions, is Apple and Foxconn about to bring out the white iPhone 4 at last or is this an error on someone’s part?

We always take this sort of news lightly until the real official news has been announced but nether the less it is clearly showing the white iPhone 4, which is something to think about until it becomes official.

Sorry for the short news but we will keep you posted to see if this all becomes true or not, it could be a mistake in the Vodafone system. What do you think? All comments are greatly appreciated.
