HTC just posted on their Facebook page, that the HTC Desire will be getting the Gingerbread update before the end of the month:
Hi everyone. We have more news about our build of Gingerbread for Desire. Our testing has gone well so we will begin rolling out the update by the end of July! Thank you again for your support!
Yup. Not an exact date, but good enough to let owners know that its coming along before the end of July!
