TMobile brings Simple Choice plans to business customers on August 26th

Coming August 26th, T-Mobile will make its Simple Choice plans available to business customers, effectively severing the tie between the cost of devices and mobile service. The pricing structure is geared to customers with six lines or more, with rates that start at $20 per line for unlimited talk, text and 500MB of overage-free / throttled data. Keeping in line with its approach on the consumer end, business users can then pay for additional data, starting at $30 for an extra 2GB and going up to $50 for unlimited 4G data (and 2.5GB of limited hotspot use). T-Mobile is hoping its new approach will be popular with the BYOD crowd, but it’s also performing a balancing act with a subsidized Simple Choice Classic plan that runs an additional $20 per month. Meanwhile, companies with less than six lines can tap into T-Mobile’s small business plans, which parallels the pricing that individuals pay.

5 Xbox One launch games with mobile integration

We knew that Gamescom 2013 was going to be all about the Sony PS4 and the Xbox One, and if you are a gaming fan then you were treated to some intriguing news, which we will not go into because we are not a gaming website. You may wonder why we would be talking about such an event in the first place, and if we were to say SmartGlass then we are sure you will understand.

Some of the new games coming to the next-gen Xbox console will offer smartphone and tablet support, and we have come across 4 Xbox One launch games with mobile integration, which as you may well know will help to give the user a far greater experience.

Tom Clancy’s The Division with SmartGlass support will allow you to join in on a game and assist squads to help change the outcome of a game. This title will not be released until late 2014.

With the recent release of Plants vs. Zombies 2 on iOS it’s good to hear that there will be an Xbox One version called Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare and will take full advantage of smartphone integration. When playing in Boss Mode you will be able to use SmartGlass in order to help your teammate.

Fable Legends has a unique SamrtGlass feature where it will allow you to take control of the villain via your smartphone or tablet.

Using a mobile device with Dead Rising 3 will allow you to call in air strikes, select drone support or even let of flares on a wide area to distract the zombies.

These are just 4 Xbox One games that allows for mobile integration, but there are many more.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has not even been announced yet and already S6 concepts are being rendered, obviously all based on rumors and speculation these concepts are great with one being a Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Google Play Edition, and it looks good.

It would be so much better if the Samsung Galaxy S5 looked like any one of these S6 concepts, the imagination is the best thing we all have and these renderings looks great. The first model in Blue looks stunning with its edge-to-edge display and rounded top and bottom, the sides are of rectangular shape, which will allow you to have a better feel in the hand.

The second Galaxy S6 rendering shown below also looks great; this one in black could pass as the Galaxy Note 3 to be fair. The third photo with orange homescreen is the Samsung Galaxy S6 Google Play Edition featuring Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, even though these three concepts look great we prefer the black awesomely shaped S6.

OK, so what can we expect by way of features for the Samsung Galaxy S5 or S6?
We have added another concept to the mix just for viewing pleasure.

Some of the features that are possible could include a 20 MP rear camera, 4.7 to 5-inch Gorilla Glass display, 8MP front-facing camera would be nice even though samsungsvi.com suggest a 4 to 7MP front shooter, other specs could include 64 GB internal memory expandable to 128 GB and Intel Processors could be possible after the Haswell series have been released.

It would be good to take on board what the HTC One has, and that is for the S5 or S6 to have a Metallic Aluminum Body, it should have at least a 3500 to 4000mAh, and wireless charging would be something all would like.

There is so much more we could add, but then we would run away with ourselves and add specs beyond all possibility.

What Samsung Galaxy S6 concept do you like the most with the choices given below?
And, would you like any of these designs on the Galaxy S5?

Google Fiber has Vudu integration on its set-top boxes, Android app

Google Fiber has Vudu integration on its settop boxes, Android app

The Google Fiber Android app got an update today that adds support for Vudu, adding another over-the-top video service along with Netflix and YouTube. The support pages for its Vudu setup seemingly date back to August 5th, but we haven’t heard anything about the launch from either company. According to the changelog, the update will allow viewers to search for and view content across their TV and mobile screens, although the iPad app hasn’t received any update yet. Also new to the Android version are channel shortcuts in the main menu for faster switching back and forth. The addition should bring Ultraviolet digital copies to Google’s TV service, although the support page notes users will have to login to Vudu separately on each set-top box. That is, assuming they’re lucky enough to live in a place where Google Fiber is available.

Google Play ‘Package File Invalid’ error acknowledged in support page, no fix yet

Google Play 'Package File Invalid' error acknowledged in support page, no fix yet

An updated version of the Google Play app began rolling out to handsets a few days ago without much fanfare, but now it’s getting more attention for unpleasant reasons: a glaring bug. Some users wielding the latest version of the marketplace have reported seeing a “Package File Invalid” error when downloading or updating select apps, and now Google has acknowledged the software hiccup in a freshly-created support page. Mountain View says there aren’t any workarounds for the glitch as of now, but it’s “currently investigating a permanent solution.” There’s no ETA for a fix just yet, but Page and Co. promise they’ll update the listing with developments.

Nexus 7 factory image and binaries now available from Google

Nexus 7 factory image and binaries now available from Google

Wanna mod that shiny new Nexus 7? Today’s your lucky day. Google just posted the factory image and binaries for its second generation 7-inch tablet — also known by the product name “razor” and device name “flo”. The factory image lets you restore your new Nexus 7 to the exact software it shipped with in case you grow tired of that custom ROM you cooked up using the binaries (natch). Speaking of which, the packages include drivers for audio and sensors from ASUS, NFC from Broadcom plus graphics and everything-but-the-kitchen-sink from Qualcomm. This comes mere hours after some open source drama surrounding the binaries (which now appears to be resolved) and with plenty of time to spare for UK customers. Follow the source links below and have fun hacking this weekend.

Android beating iPhone market share is outrageous

There is no doubting the Android platform is doing very well indeed for the market share, and with the latest news reporting the iPhone is losing its market share to Android in Q2 is outrageous.

Research firm IDC reported that Apple’s share of the global market fell from 16.6 percent to 13.2 in the same two quarters last year and this year, and some have even said that with Android’s share jumping from 69.1 percent to 79.3 poses a threat to the likes of Apple and BlackBerry.

Google gives away Android to handset makers for free and solely earns revenue via advertising, but we think this is crazy to say Android is taking over the mobile sector and beating Apple.

Look at the statistics here, when looking at the smartphone market Apple only has the iPhone running iOS, Android is on many handsets including LG, Samsung, ZTE, Lenovo, Huawei, Sony, do we need go on.

There are way more Android handsets than any other in the world, how can you compare an iPhone to Android? Comparing the iPhone to Samsung yes. It is obvious that Android will have more of the market share if they have an operating system on more than just one phone.

Apple only releases one phone a year and Android is on multiple phones, of course Apple’s iPhone figures will drop when consumers are waiting nearly a whole year for a new smartphone. We believe that the market share for the iPhone will rise again when Apple releases its new smartphone/s come September 2013. It is great news that Android is doing so well and it keeps the competition alive, but of iOS was out-sourced like Android is we know that Apple would dominate – Guess now we get the comments coming in debating this one.

Instagram v4.1 for Android and iPhone brings option to import video from library

Nexus 4, Nexus 7 2 allegedly running KLP 5.0 KRS36B

Android 4.3 was released not so long ago for the Nexus 4 and new Nexus 7 2 with build number JWR66V and JSS15J respective, and if you notice these numbers do not have a K in it at all. Android 4.3 was released a about a month ago and tests have been ongoing with Android…

Android-5.0-Key-Lime-Pie

Android 4.3 was released not so long ago for the Nexus 4 and new Nexus 7 2 with build number JWR66V and JSS15J respective, and if you notice these numbers do not have a K in it at all.

Android 4.3 was released a about a month ago and tests have been ongoing with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, has this new operating system just been confirmed? The reason we say this because new reports showing up on the Chromium Project reveals the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 2 running KLP 5.0 OS.

The site also shows that the Samsung Galaxy S4 number is at JDQ39.I9500UBUAMDK, the Galaxy S3 with JRO03C, and the Note 2 with JZO54K, the first letter for these three devices say J, which means Jelly Bean. So to see the Nexus 7 with KRS36B and the Nexus 4 with KRS36B, this means the K is for key Lime Pie.

Nexus 4, Nexus 7 2 running KLP 5.0 KRS36B

Rumors suggested Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie would be unveiled at Google I/O in May, but this was not the case so it makes sense not to take rumors to heart until official announcements by Google have been made.

Maybe Google is testing KLP so it is ready to release onto the new Nexus 5, until we hear official confirmation we will not take this as solid evidence.

Do you think Google will release Android 5.0 KLP onto the Nexus 4 and new nexus 7 2, or will they just wait for the Nexus 5?
